For this Portion of the clue project i did a study of the LLC room for Colombia Hall. I did this room because there are so many places to study on campus. There is the library, some people do their work in Starbucks, some use their floor lounge and others even chose to study outside in the Quad. The question i came about was though, out of all those other places to study why do people chose this room? I believe people chose to come this room simply because of the atmosphere. In the pictures above there is a lounge area where you can just sit back and relax and many people like that kind of atmosphere. . The second photo i have is an area of a study of a certain discipline, for example this room allows people who have a biology class or who are biology majors, a place to focus simply on that area of expertise. The third picture is some tables and chairs people may chose to use this if they have a group project perhaps. This allows for more space and more people to do things. With all these different atmospheres within one room it gives people options on where and how they want to study. Looking at these pictures i see some qualities that relpicate a library such as the table and the poster of the tree on the wall. I think that when people see an atmospher that reminds them of quiet or studying it will attract them there. Also for people with specific majors, in the rooms that are designated for those majors, there are poster and models that could possibly help these people with their studies. Over all i think all of these things combined give it a really nice and studious atmosphere where people feel comfortable yet focussed.
